Daylight Donuts-Olney

Just went in for a cappuccino and got a one for a coworker that only drank coffee. He raved about how good it was all day. I had a Carmel white chocolate bourban. Yes Bourbon . A little pricey. 2 Capps and a dozen mixed donuts almost 40$. Thought I was gonna have to go take out a loan.!!

Great donuts, but I've yet to have a great experience there. Drive through or going inside. They just don't seem as welcoming if you're not a regular. Always in a hurry, which I understand to an extent, but take the time to make each customer feel valued.

WHAT A TREAT!!! I'm somewhat of a donut snob and always enjoy trying out local donut shops when traveling. I have a high standard when it comes to my glazed fried dough, as I am from North Carolina, home of THE Krispy Kreme. So, boy oh boy, was I delighted when I found Daylight Donuts in Olney, Illinois. Not only were the donuts, bear claws, twists and apple fritters wonderful, warm and fresh but the customer service was absolutely the BEST!! I had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of the owner and her son and they took such incredible care of me and my order. I was flying back home to NC so they individually wrapped all the items and bagged them so they wouldn't get all smashed and stuck together while traveling. I'm definitely a fan of Daylight Donuts now and I made some new friends, too. If you find yourself anywhere near Olney, Illinois, do yourself a favor and stop by for a real treat! They also have a diner and ice cream shop. You will not be disappointed. Tell them I sent you.

I had never had anything but donuts from here, and I have really been missing out. The everything bagel I had was perfect, and the Clucker? Fried potatos, Fried chicken, and gravy? It was so good, that I've got to go back, just to have that again. Oh, and their donuts are top notch!

I am in Onley occasionally for a morning meeting, this is my standard go to for after meeting cool down safe space. Excellent food, sometimes the coffee is a little unreliable, super strong one time and not quite there the next, other than that, super classic donut shop. No tigers were harmed in the making of their tiger tails, so they say anyway.
