Came here hungry. Left satisfied. Great food
The bread and oil they serve here is awesome. I had the duck burger which was a little dry for me. It's a cool little restaurant and the menu did have a variety of options. Nothing really stuck out for me though. I did see a table order the sausage and cheese plate which looked amazing.
Over the weekend I had my whole family in town for my graduation. We got back to the QC pretty late and needed to eat! As a former fine dining server and bartender I know that a surprise late 7-top an hour before close isn’t anyone’s favorite thing. But we were seated, felt welcome and were taken very good care of! The food and wine was all amazing, and really made a good impression on my relatives from all over the country. I had no idea such a classy joint was so close to home. I now have a new favorite restaurant in the QC!
Delicious dinner! Great drink specials for happy hour and well crafted cocktails. The restaurant itself is a tad small, so probably best to make reservations, especially for large groups.
Barley & Rye Bistro is great restaurant in the Quad Cities especially if you like good burger and sandwiches. The sweet potato skins are a must-try.
My only caution would be if you order the Duck burger because I have tried it and it as overcooked and dry.
Overall the staff and experience are still nice.
