Sunday evening and place was packed! However they did a good job of cleaning and turning the tables when they emptied, so we only waited about 15 minutes. Food was great! We started with the combo appetizer (Orings, mushrooms, mozzarella sticks) big portions great for party of 4-6 people.
My favorite pizza for over - well let's just say since I was a lot younger. Not the least expensive but it's still my Springfield go-to pizza place. Old building, usually packed with families, there's a bar side, crazily full of the current holiday decor (don't forget the poker playing dogs) how can you not love this place!
We are from out of town and stopped in late afternoon as we had read good reviews on the internet. The outside was a little fooling but the food was awesome. The waitress was as nice as could be. We ordered garlic cheese bread and pizza and it was all good... I dont know but am guessing this was one of those restaurants that has been here forever and is a local favorite. Worth the visit.
This is a local favorite. Most of my experiences have been really great at Gabatoni's. The food is usually very good. Sometimes the service is a bit on the lacking side but its not the server's fault. They are simply understaffed at times. This is not a fancy place at all. Very casual and dated inside but still cool with old school charm.
Visiting Springfield from out of town, we decided to try a local pizza place and get it to-go to take back to our hotel. The thin crust pizza here was pretty good. Had great flavor and didn't disappoint. The restaurant is a nice cozy place with a good eating area and bar. Service was very friendly. Next time we are in town we definitely will do dine-in. Old hometown pizza and pasta parlor. The thin crust pizza is the best around! A little dark inside and the tables are close because of the size of the dining room, but it's worth the minor things.
