Give this guy a Michelin star.
I have never had better tonkatsu in my life. I have never had pork so beautifully tender and perfectly made. The ingredients are high quality, the cooking is superb and the attention to detail is incredible. We also tried the Texas BBQ and it was melt in your mouth tender. Beautiful flavor. Well done.
You can tell the passion that James puts into his home kitchen, he will come out and talk to you about your meal, about the ingredients and the experience.
If you like good food and you are anywhere near Springfield or driving through, I highly recommend you stop there.
(If you are within 2-3 hours and have the time, definitely worth a detour or a special trip.)
This place is amazing! The food is all homemade and comes steaming hot to your table. We ate the beef brisket, pork shoulder and chicken Formosa. It was all yummy!! The appetizers were also so scrumptious! The bathrooms were extremely clean and the atmosphere was very pleasant! If I could give this place 6 stars I would!

The food was excellent and the service was also excellent. The owner/chef was very kind and patient with my son who is autistic. He made some suggestions on dinner and my whole family was amazed at the food. His chicken wings are some of the best I've ever eaten and the main dishes were excellent to. I will come back when I'm in town again. He has a limited menu but everything is fresh and cooked to order.
Unique fusion of Asian and Texas BBQ. For real! Everything's cooked to order, so they brought out a crab Rangoon (one of the best I have ever had) and a sesame drummie to tide us over. My daughter had the honey spice chicken, and I had the brisket. Both were outstanding, and the portions were huge. A great place run by great people. Open for dinner only Monday through Saturday.
