Cozy Dog Drive In

After reading a brochure about Route 66 and Springfield, IL, Cozy Dog was a must stop. On a family Route 66 road trip to L.A, I'm so glad we had lunch there, because my kids had never experienced a corn dog before. One kiddo almost polished off two of them, and my other kiddo wasn't into the concept of a boiled hot dog wrapped in batter..

If you're looking for corn dogs you can't get better than this place. The staff was nice and even let the kids poke their heads into the kitchen to see how the dogs are made. Food was fast and fresh. Obviously corn dogs were great, but extra points for the amazing french fries. Yum!!

If you are in Springfield, you need to get a Cozy Dog.

The Cozy Dog is on the original Route 66 and has been family owned and run for 3 generations. Their fries are to die for with their signature grill salt. And there very few places where you can mix your own vanilla cola

You can always find someone who can gives you information about Route 66 and if you want a souvenir you can find a wide variety at the Cozy Dog

Historic and birthplace of the "corn dog" however you don't call it a corn dog at this place. They are called Cozy Dogs! and along with fries, a cold drink and most everything else they serve, it's all very tasty! Also great ambience and souvenirs. Plenty of parking, fast service!

Ive been going to Cozy Dog for many years, always enjoy it. Good burgers and a mountain of fries, freshly cooked and hot. Lots of Rt. 66 memorabilia some for sale, some just for looking. They also have a drive up if youre so inclined. Service is good, fast. Place is clean, staff pleasant, prices very reasonable.
