We thought that was good the way it was but then the food came out and it got even better. We each got a horseshoes/ponyshoe and every part of it would've tasted delicious on its own. The fries were a great size, flavored well, and just crunchy and enough. The cheese sauce was white with plenty of flavor! The burger and Texas toast were also both good. Would recommend adding the bacon as well!
My family was in Springfield for a baseball tournament. The rain postponed the game for several hours and we were looking for a place to eat lunch. There were 15 of us. The waitress was fantastic and the food was excellent. The cheese curds were delicious. We had wings, the ham sandwich with bacon, and burgers. Everything was excellent. We all definitely return next time we are in Springfield.
I loved the beer and the abundance of fruity selections, Belgian, and German style brews. Really great selection of beers. I ordered whatever the special burger of the night was with veggies. For a restaurant that is locally sourced and farm to table, according to the website, I thought the food just checked the box of run of the mill bar food. Definitely come for the drinks and if you are hungry you will be good too.
One of my favorite places to visit eat. The food here is good and much of it is locally sourced. The menu changes from time to time but there is always something good. They have specials so I get to have things I have not before.
Right now they have a pork burger with Brie that has bacon blueberry jam. Didn't seem like anything I would every put together but it is delicious.
Make sure you try something different as everyone I have it has been better than I thought it would.
Even if I have to drive from the other side of Springfield to get here I do as I really enjoy the food.
I am not a beer person but I hear the beer they Brew is good.
This place is not downtown in a sense but not hard to get to. The food is always good. They make pretty much everything themselves! If you like cheese curds, you have to try their fried ones. I got them one time and now I have to get them every time I go in! Their horseshoe is way better than Darcy's pint.... The beer is amazing and they offer guest taps as well as their own stuff, it's also available for growler fills and they have some bottled!
