My Pizza Hut Debacle

We Called & ordered pizza, when it didn't come 20 minutes 30 minutes and finally after an hour, we called, they informed me that the delivery driver had come to my house already.
I assured him that this was not true and they said they would comp my pizza for free-
(It wasn't that easy but I shortened it)

So I waited.
Another 20 30 40 minutes..

Call back

They said they we're not going to deliver my pizza now or at any other time because the delivery driver said that I always do this that I call and make a scene and that he remembers the house he delivered the pizza to and I always order pizza and then don't take it.
I said that's impossible who did he talk to?
He said he had spoken to a man..

They said he had come to the house and spoken to a man and I said then you went to the wrong house because there was no one there at the time but me and my daughter and my granddaughter-
I said
The delivery driver is lying to you!
they said the delivery driver had worked there a long time and they believe him over me.
Found out later that
the first delivery he never actually even came to the house but came back to the Pizza Hut and checked in as delivered.
The second time he went to the wrong house where of course the people declined the pizza because it wasn't theirs!

By then I had ordered a pizza from somewhere else had it delivered and eaten it!

I called corporate headquarters and stayed on the phone for quite a while until I spoke to someone who was in charge and explained the situation to them

He promptly looked up history & saw what a good customer my daughter was!
She works full-time and is in college full-time so orders pizza a lot!
He called the store-I don't know what he said to them but they called and profusely apologized & gave me a credit to use at another date.

But I was furious! how dare they try to insinuate that we were some kind of terrible people when the delivery driver hadn't even come to my house!
The first time he hadn't made the delivery!
And the second time he went to the wrong house..
I feel like they just defamed me and put me through a lot of stress-
How dare you!

(All they had to do was look up my account to see what a good customer I was!)

When I went into the store a couple months later my credit was waiting for me
NOT!
I explained to them who I was and luckily the manager remembered me-probably from her corporate call and gave me what I wanted for free..

I am giving 3 stars because I do like the food
