Everyone always compares Subway, Quiznos, or Jimmy John’s with an occasional more regional place thrown in, but what about the local deli with the owner behind the counter actually making the sandwiches he has loved his whole life? That’s Uncle Nick’s—premium ingredients, premium service, premium taste. Providing both drive through and classic deli counter service, Uncle Nick’s is what you actually want when you are discussing which sandwich place is better—and it’s cheaper. So the next time you’re craving a classic deli sandwich—whether it is hot, cold, or BBQ—ignore the debate and go get what you’re tastebuds deserve: Uncle Nick’s.

Uncle Nick's Deli is in an old Subway building located right next to Denny's. I never see anyone in the parking lot and fear they aren't getting the business they need to stay open, which is unfortunate because their sandwiches are delicious!

The deli is right off the highway, which would make you think it's a prime location. But it's actually a little difficult to access. I've seen the deli for a couple of years and didn't have a real interest in trying it out (only because I don't frequent delis). But then my daughter's boyfriend pointed it out the other day and said that they make the BEST italian sandwich in the world.

So my husband and I went back the next day for lunch and ordered the italian and turkey bacon ranch club. You can request your sandwich be toasted (just like at Subway), which I highly recommend.

When we finished lunch, we agreed that the sandwiches were better than Subway's, but not better than Penn Station's. However, you might spend a bit more if you go to Penn Station and you're supporting a small business here. I'll be back and will hopefully try their homemade potato salad.

I always get the Italian. Sooo good. Bread is soft. Meats are quality. Decent prices. I want to try some of the other sandwiches but I just can't deny the Italian.

Fantastic sandwiches. I come here often, and have tried pretty much everything on the menu, and it's all excellent.
My personal favourite is the pastrami on rye. Really does taste like an NYC deli made it.

So glad I found this place! Unassuming little sandwich shop that almost doesn't look open, but low and behold it is, and they have absolutely fantastic sandwiches for a super reasonable price. Someone suggested I try it and now I come every week! Nice fresh veggies, well made sandwiches, just what you want from a little sammie shop. Good stuff 👍
