It was fine. I'd been hearing people rave about cracker barrel breakfasts for years, and honestly... It was nothing special. The biscuits were undercooked enough to taste doughy. They did manage over medium eggs though, which some places have trouble with. Honestly I would have been happier with something from panera. The coffee would have been better there. I think the egg and I / first watch will continue to be my go to breakfast restaurant.

Seated promptly as a party of 4.

Our server was clearly having a bad day but was trying to push through. I can respect that, happens to the best of us. He was working on his day off, though he didn't want to be, & the kitchen was getting a large percentage of the orders wrong. 75% inaccuracy at our table. 50% at the table behind us, with a different server.

The drinks were served promptly with no offer to refill. They were low it not empty, so, not a complete fail. They had discontinued several items that were still on the menu. Items we ordered, naturally - he explained that new menus are on the way.

Serving sizes were larger than usual and the food arrived hot, which is not necessarily the norm for Cracker Barrels, kudos there. The food was good but, not what we ordered. Particularly fond of the grilled chicken breast tenderloins. The server brought out several additional sides to try to make it right.

Came to just over $55 for 4 people with 2 drinks. Nobody was able to finish their food.

Overall service & accuracy were subpar, food quality and temperature were on par. Pricing was reasonable. Cleanliness was mixed: the tables were clean but floors were not.

All in all, not a great dining experience but at least the food wasn't bad. I don't think that's a slogan most restaurants would want to use though.

The grilled fish had too much lemon pepper seasoning on it. It was too salty. The salt ruined the taste of the excellent trout fish underneath. The vegetables were overcooked and mushy. The biscuits were excellent. The waiter was outstanding--very personable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Give him a reward!
