I visited on a Tuesday night for dinner with my best friend. The service was excellent as well as the food. Our server, Jennifer, checked on us in a timely manner and was helpful negotiating the menu. The wait time for the food was awesome. We were there quite a while catching up so every so often Jennifer or one of the other servers would stop by to ask if we needed refills. I knew from previous reviews that the food comes out tied up in a bag for you to dump out on your plate and honestly considering the number of combinations you can come up with on seasonings and spicy intensity it makes perfect sense to me. I have already told other people to give them a try, I personally would go back and eat there again.
Crab and shrimp in Garlic butter and Old Bay seasoning was tasty. Prices were as you would expect for a crab boil, moderate. They skimped on the potatoes and corn in the boil, so we had to buy a couple more as sides. We also added a half pound of sausage which made enough for three of us to fill up on.
Couple things. I understand they just opened and are working out the kinks. Our waitress was very nice but never came to our table to take our order for 20 min. I think she busy doing other things in back as I seen her taking the garbage out with 3 other people just standing there. I ordered the lunch snow crab and shrimp. It came out in a plastic bag with 1egg 1 potato 1 corn on the cob, shrimp and crab legs. The food was good and I'll definently try it again. I did order fried oysters and fries with this but they came out after the shrimp and crab. That was really good, fries were crisp and not greasy as was the oysters also. The atmosphere was good as well, simple but works. My friend had only the lunch shrimp. For the 3 orders and 2 drinks or bill came to a little over $50. I personally think the pricing is a little on the high side for what you get. Without the oysters and fires the bill would of been closer to $40. It might take a bit to work out some kinks and hopefully they will listen to the customers feedback and adjust.
Food was good. We had the wings, hush puppies and shrimp fried rice. I’m hoping to try the seafood soon but as far as the atmosphere it’s very quiet and almost not welcoming. Food came out fast. Had to ask for a refill as our sever was across the restarting talking to a co worker and had left my drink sitting after seeing it was empty. So far my favorite seafood type place like this has been Angry crab in Chicago. Same prices but for more and better food. Was the high light of my trip there.
Great restaurant! The food was quick and our waitress was very friendly. The food was very delicious and I love how you can customize it to your liking with all the seasoning and flavor options. 10/10! I will definitely be back!
