Big Thorn Farm & Brewery

Fun place to meet up with friends and have some locally crafted beers. Food from the food truck is pretty good too. Atmosphere is amazing.

Coolest place! Highly recommend checking it out for a chill place to have a beer, good food and hang out.

Visited Big Thorn Farm on Sunday afternoon. Glad we drove from Champaign to check this Brewery out. The tree bar is great. Wonderful outdoor setting. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the beers. The beers we tried were good. The Vienna Lager was excellent. The food we got was also very good. I would definitely recommend this brewery and will be back next time I'm in the area.

To top it off, they are run off solar panels, grow most of the flavors on their farms, beer is brewed using cellars and using a different yeast, rather than the traditional way.

They haven't had a beer yet that we didn't like! Big Thorn should be at the top of everyone's list.

They're kid friendly! Although, I recommend people with kids sticking to lunch/afternoon hours instead of evenings. Going on a date, at night, was a little annoying with kids crying and climbing all over things.

What a cool place. We were in the igloo from 6 pm until 9pm. Heater kept everyone comfortable. Had a great time and can we talk about the amazing food truck food. Had an vegitarian option as well (which was so good) first time here and very impressed. Our 2 kids got to play in the sand box. Very kid friendly. Didn't have to get a baby sitter they even had peanut butter and jelly or grilled cheese on the kids menu. Served their beer they make. Apple was my favorite. The staff was great and very friendly. Only down side is no regular bathroom but they did have outhouses...they were very clean and didn't smell they did have a place to wash your hands. We will be back with more friends and family.
