Gung Ho - Bolingbrook

I was feeling very under the weather and wanted something that’ll give me a boost. I’ve always wanted to try ramen in the suburbs because I’ve lived in the city for most of my adult life and Bolingbrook FINALLY has gotten on board with diversity.

I was greeted by a younger guy and he helped me put together a nice ramen bowl since I don’t eat pork. I ordered the Kim & Fried Chicken Ramen and substituted it with the vegetable stock. It was so flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The Kimchi had a nice spicy kick to it. Portion size was definitely enough for two people to share! I also got the shrimp dumplings and they were mini and sorta bland, wouldn’t get it again. However, the sauce it came with was really good so it made up for the blandness when dipped in sauce.

I ordered to-go but once I saw how nice the inside was, I regretted not dining in! It’s so pretty and bright and clean inside and they offer a water stand with cups so you can self serve.

When my order was ready the nice girl gave me a free Milk Tea and it was actually my favorite flavor. I appreciate her for that, she was adorbs. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I think my total was around $24? Good prices for the quality in my opinion.

Went with a couple my friends because I heard about them from a instagram video and was definitely worth it. Ramen was really good and other appetizers were fresh. They have anime playing in the background. Jenga and sketch books are available while waiting for the food. Plan to come back with the guys again.

Very clean modern feel, fast service. Food is delicious! Our daughter loved the sketch pad. Getting a table can be dicey if they're busy but it's worth the wait. Hubs wished they served regular soft drinks.

So pleased to have this place so close to home. The Shoyu ramen was so good, and the boba was great too. Not too sweet but still refreshing and flavorful. I plan on going back to try their poke in the near future. There atmosphere is nice with lots of anime decoration and episodes playing on tvs throughout the restaurant. There's also sketch books and board games to have fun with while you're there which is a nice touch. I also heard a keshi song while eating here so that automatically calls for a return 🤭

Food is absolutely delicious. Staff is very friendly. Definitely head over and try the ramen bowls and pork gyoza.
Plenty of board games to play while waiting for your food and a sketchbook with colored pencils to go through or draw your own.
