This place is old school supper club all the way. Food is pretty good, even if the menu isn't very diverse. Just order the fried chicken though, seriously. It's good for huge parties, large families and kids. There is a large game room to spend money and kill time while you wait for a table. When it's busy, the wait can be a while. But, they do take reservations. If you want to feel like you time travelled, check this place out.

What can I say, this is a local institution. Old school supper club feel. The food is spectacular, I have never had anything else but the chicken and it is always done right. The salad appetizers, the corn fritters and of course the chicken itself is always outstanding. My children love going there because of museum the you can eat in. The staff is always cordial and well trained. Parking is plentiful. The kids love feeding the animals after dinner. .Our family will be eating here for many years to come. Thank you and PLEASE.....Don't change a thing!

What a wonderful place to eat. They start out your meal with giving you relish trays that consists of bean salads, coleslaw, cottage cheese, and corn fritters which are all amazing. The fried chicken is so fresh and very delicious. It is not dripping and oil like other places. It is truly fresh and homemade. Would definitely go back for the food. The atmosphere has lots of antique clocks, beautiful fireplaces and there are also antique cars in the back along with tons of pictures and antique toys. Such a unique and awesome place. The family who owns it does such a wonderful job with the unique decor.

Not even a question. Best and greatest family friendly food place on the planet! It’s a perfect fit for a large group or just a couple people, has that home, and country style farm feel! Love it! Food, of course, is great too! Family style!

I have been going to this restaurant since I was a kid. I have only glowing recommendations. Where to start. I will start at the door, you can walk in and try to get a golden egg. Usually there is a wait but it doesn't really matter because you know what you will get will be worth the wait. The waiting area has some fascinating things to look at and do. It's been holding your attention for years and just seems to be a step back to a simpler time. Once you get seated you are inundated with smells of chicken and fritters to die for... Your dining experience will be finger licking and so tasty it's almost a guarantee. I can only say nothing but good things. Just remember that generation after generation of people have enjoyed this place and for the greatest reasons!! Please enjoy like me and the rest of the thousands and thousands of satisfied customers since the 1920's..!! It shows that there is nothing wrong with doing something right!
