I ate here with three friends on my way through town on a road trip. The cashier was very friendly and patiently answered our questions about the menu. One of my friends cannot eat gluten or dairy and she was happy to learn that none of the seasonings had gluten. She had the Texas potato salad, which they told her did not have any dairy or gluten and she said it was great. I had the brisket and chicken tortilla soup. The soup was so yummy and quite spicy--delish. The brisket was quite good and tender as well but it didn't have a lot of flavor on its own, which meant I had to add BBQ sauce. I wasn't crazy about the BBQ sauces. I flat out disliked the taste of the sweet BBQ sauce and the spicy sauce was too spicy for me, especially after already eating spicy soup. But I really liked the base flavor of the spicy BBQ sauce. My other friend and I each ordered cups of water for our drink and the water was practically warm, which wasn't very appetizing but we drank it anyway. My other two friends had the apple pie moonshine, which they both agreed was amazing. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out!
Best smoked meat of my life. Bbq sauce, pickled onions, and pickles all come on the side. The sides and cornbread are all amazing and full of flavor. If you want good BBQ, this is the place!
I've been won over. I have recently enjoyed their brisket chili. Stop in for a combo plater or follow them on Facebook for their daily specials. Looking forward to a visit on a Wednesday for the prime rib sandwich. You can call in you dinner order first thing to assure they won't run out. For a different option, stop in for Taco Tuesday. Prime rib served up on Saturdays.
I’ve been here a few times now and everything that I’ve had was been amazing. Their ‘daily specials’ are out of this world.... smoked prime rib and prime rib sandwiches, tacos, the pork chop and my personal favorite, smoked salmon. These guys are masters of smoking. Some places just toss meat in a smoker and pull it out half a day later but I’ve learned that it’s just not that easy. The staff is super friendly, don’t be surprised if/when the owner or any of his kitchen staff is chatting with you before, after and during your meal. Outstanding place!
This place is a hidden gem. The meats, the sides, the sauces... everything is done with great care. I think it's Texas style BBQ? Prepare for menu changes. Meats are cooked over the course of the day and when they run out, they run out.
