This place has been here since 1959. One of the few steakhouses left. I was surprised it was still there. Great steaks, chicken and salad bar. Young people do not come here unless with parents. No one less that 55 in the place. They have a Sunday buffet as well. Staff very attentive. Reliable good food service, and reasonable prices. Only negative is only bottled beer. With the craft beer craze I would have expected some draft beers. Maybe that's why no young crowd. Still worth a visit.
I went there for Sunday brunch and I was pleasantly surprised. What an awesome old school service and unbelievable buffet, priced just right for the amount and quality of food. The drinks are not included in the price of the buffet, but I think it's still a good deal. The management and wait staff are super friendly and provide you with superior service that you just don't get at those chain restaurants, to me this is like a "Supper Club". I can't wait to come back and try the Friday seafood buffet and the rest of their menu.
First time going to Al's tonight and we were very impressed with the food and the service. Our meal from start to finish was wonderful. Every bite better than the last. The staff seemed extremely disciplined which made me wonder how the management treated them. Our water glasses would have one, maybe two drinks taken out of them and we had someone refilling them. Every part of our service was so above and beyond, I sincerely hope that the wait staff is treated nicely and respectfully! Our steaks were cooked perfectly. I really liked the classic look of the place, like it hasn't changed since it opened from the looks of it. Bathrooms were very clean. You may be able to go get a similar meal at a chain restaurant, but you will not get the same type of service, cleanliness and quality. Best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had. This is going to be our new date night restaurant for sure.
Upscale, great business or romantic environment but not snooty. Staff was very friendly, food was cooked and delivered to perfection. The prime rib was melt in your mouth tender but firm. Asparagus and baked potatoes rounded well the meal with a great glass of Malbec. There were couples enjoying dinner and businessmen having conversations. The open air and large room offers a spacious and yet elegant setting for whatever your situation may bring. I will definitely make this a star on my return restaurant lists in my travels.
Excellent food at reasonable price for a fancy night out with our Church Dinner Group. Salad bar included; nice salad bar. Our steak was perfect! Both my wife and I had a great meal. Really appreciated that there was not so much noise and we could talk amongst ourselves. Servers, we had 2 for our group, were attentive but not pushy. A bit of a drive for us but we definitely will come back for a special occasion meal.
