Granite City Food & Brewery

Went in with a group of 15 on a Saturday night. Really busy, when our food arrived the chicken wings 2 people had ordered were cold, and the shrimp “fried rice “ wasn’t to the liking of someone else our waitress quickly got the wings replaced and offered a substitution for the rice. The manager delivers the food and apologizes then the chef comes to the table and apologizes and makes sure we’re good even giving us a free jambalaya. We were very impressed with the customer service skills and furthermore happy with dinner. We will be returning.

Arrived when very few people were in restaurant. Was surprised by the slow service. Had to ask for a waiter after being seated for 15 minutes. Waiter forgot to bring part of our order, had to wait again. Cold chicken in salad was not fresh. Manager was apologetic and accommodating. Clam chowder was excellent.

Stopped in for a beer. Had their Idaho Nachos and an order of wings. Food and beer were great. Bar was freezing. Most folks left their coats on. Dining room felt 10 degrees warmer. Would have stayed much longer if the bar area was a little warmer.

We took our family of 9 out to celebrate a wedding and our reservation was for 2 PM. The manager was kind enough to allow us to participate in the Sunday brunch even though it usually shuts down at 2. The service was great and they even brought more beef out to the carving station for us. Great job and the good was very good. I am a European trained chef and would go back again. Great experience for a great celebration.
