GreenFire

Greenfire is one of our go to restaurants when we are in Rockford. We love the appetizers, the steak, and especially the duck dates. The cocktail menu is really good and unique. Sometimes it can feel a bit crowded because if the amount if people they fit in the dining room, but we appreciate that we have always found a reservation when we want one. Oh, and don't leave here without desert. Yum!

I have been here twice now, and I will definitely make it a regular stop when out that way. From the various, unique cocktails to their wood fire pizzas and amazing bison burgers, this place does not disappoint. And service has always been friendly and prompt.

Duck Date appetizer was especially good tonight! Also, the award-winning Chicken Crepe always lives up to its name. Great bar, wonderful cake and it was a Happy Birthday all the way around! Best part is...I have a great lunch for tomorrow too.

Red Eye was too strong.
Veggie hash lacked flavor. Was oily and mushy.
Also ingredients were missing described in menu.
3 small eggs overcooked.
Swiss omelet had lots of ham and cheese. It was rubbery however.
Roast potatoes were good.
Arugula with balsamic glaze and berries was fresh.

WILL NOT COME BACK.

Pizza was above average. Service was average to above average. I finished my whole meal and was waiting for check by the time I was offered a refill. I did get one though, and server was polite. I will come back, I saw quite a few plates that looked pretty tasty. Overall I gave 4 stars because I did feel the server was very polite and food was good.
