I have found my new favorite Rockford spot! First of all, the atmosphere makes you feel as if you were somewhere out of town. The space is decorated nicely. There are a good assortment of drinks and the crab cakes were excellent with big lumps of fresh crab. My cousin had the clam chowder and lobster hoagie and he said they were some of the best he has had. I was just in for the first time on Friday and I could see myself going back today (unfortunately they are closed Mondays so I will have to wait). Capital House is a great addition to the downtown area.

We dined at Capital House for the second time this evening. While the food was supurb both times, and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, the service was the best part of our experience. We were fortunate enough to have Joshua as our server both time. He is friendly, personable, and makes you feel like a welcome friend. His personality promotes a friendly, sociable atmosphere among the customers as well. Needless to say, we will certainly be back, and hope that we are fortunate enough to have Joshua a our server again.
