Sophia's Restaurant

If you are looking for a standard diner with decent food and friendly staff, this is the palace to be. I do breakfast here a bunch and have never been upset with the food or service. Nothing will blow your mind, but hey, it's a diner.

I love Sophia's any time of day but breakfast is my favorite. Great food and wonderful service at good prices. What else do you need?

There aren't many realllllly good old school diners in N IL, but Sophia's is fantastic. They server breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And truly every menu item is pretty great. It is a gem in an area without many good food options.

Great family restaurant. Large menu. Gets very busy for Sunday breakfast. Nice variety of dishes. Even has some gluten free items. They have great bread and I love their homemade ranch dressing.

Had a great big salad that was a real bell ringer for us. Had the Georgia peach salad with cucumber dressing. Dressing very much like a gyro sandwich dressing but it was just as tasty on our salads. I got the Rueben soup and that was a winner too. Our waitress was perfect. Just right friendly and attentive. She came back several times to see if we wanted anything else and she remembered the couple of extras we asked for quickly. Bought a dessert to take home and it didn't disappoint. The cake was moist and the frosting was rich and creamy good.
The location is good. The place is clean inside and outside. It's a favorite of mine when I travel to that area.
