Rune Restaurant

Very good food. Small menu but plenty of varied options to choose from. We ordered gougeres, rigatoni, a pork chop, and desserts to share as a set of courses, and all were all beautifully flavored, interesting without being overwrought. Cocktails were also good. Service was very good. Decor was the only less-impressive aspect—everything was clean and looked fine but lacked much ambiance. Small thing and maybe something in development since it just opened, and not something that would discourage me from returning. Overall, would certainly go back; one of the best meals we’ve had in Fort Wayne.

Wow! Best apps, dinner, dessert and cocktails! I love an Old Fashioned and checked out their spirits list....Johnny Smoking Gun Old Fashioned is my favorite now, hands down! Cant wait to go back!

We were excited to try Rune; lived up to every expectation. Fun cocktails were just the start, followed by gougères, biscuits & Pho Gravy, cheese polenta. All splendid. And the carrot and sweet potato tea cake was otherworldly. Without any doubt, we'll be back.

We loved brunch at Rune on opening weekend. Standouts for me were the sweet and savory parmesan gougeres (from the regular menu), which are lightweight pastries. They have a bit of a kick with the chili crisp, but definitely not overpowering. Admittedly, seeing "stinging nettles" in the description of the omelette was off-putting in my mind, but you gotta just trust in chef. 😂 They are cooked down to a melt-in-your-mouth texture with some citrus/acidity that is so great on top of the cheesey omelette.

Definitely leave room for the carrot and sweet potato tea cake with butterscotch. So good with coffee to close out brunch.

I wouldn't mind seeing more vegetarian options on the brunch menu, but there's definitely enough to choose from the regular menu which is also served at the same time.

Grateful that such a wonderful restaurant took over this spot.

Very much enjoyed our meal and overall experience at this new spot on Broadway!! Food and drinks are thoughtfully and beautifully curated to highlight local and seasonal ingredients. Service staff are the cream of the crop and pay great attention to detail. They are knowledgeable of gluten free menu items and are so friendly and hospitable! Cheers! Cannot wait to come back!
