I'm very disappointed with the food at the new location. It used to feel like a little taste of Korea.. everything was prepared in traditional Korean fashion.
Now it's like Korean fastfood and simple cultural aspects of how the food is prepared and served have gone missing.
Tteokboki is all about the sauce and they now serve it dry. Texture was off too. My jaw hurt chewing. I brought them home and plan to make my on sauce.
3 stars for service. Very kind as always. And for flavor of the the bit of sauce that was own tteokboki.
Portion sizes are huge at this good Korean restaurant, but the provided utensils get a 0/5. Poor utensils make it hard to fully enjoy the food; I left with half of mine uneaten.
While the food and selection are not as good as it used to be when they had their standalone restaurant, it's a worthy option to try at Electric Works.
I have been going to Seoul Garden for over 20 years and have experienced many iterations based on ownership. Although I do miss the old location - the experience I had today was incredible. Possibly the best Bibimbop I have had yet (see photo). Lots of amazing veggies and flavors. Kimchi is also amazing-- great mix of crunch and leafy. So glad to see Sophia in her next iteration of the restaurant and hoping she can reach a wider audience in the new location. Check it out!
Tldr;
Fair prices for flavorful and fresh food. A must try if you are in the area.

This place is a breath of fresh air to our city. We stumbled upon Seoul Garden while walking through the community center, and I was excited to see some classic Korean dishes on offer.
We got the Jabchae and Bulgoggi both medium spicy. The jabchae was bursting with flavor and had a wider noodle then I'm used to. But man, it was so delicious with fresh veggies and nice tender beef. The bulgoggi was also very tender and had a perfect portion. Each came with some kimchi which was perfect since we were tempted to buy some on the side anyhow.
Please do yourself a favor and give this little place a chance. This is some very good Korean food here at very fair prices.
And if the chef is reading this, we hope to see some optional banchan in the future! Can't wait to become regular customers.
