Food was great and service was really good Great place to eat

The seafood platter was outstanding. The smelt fry is so good. They had oysters on the half shell which I also ordered. Every time I go to Logansport, it is required to eat at Silver Lake Inn.

I ordered prime rib, it was served piping hot with a baked potato. But I'll have to say the service was terrible, it was a Saturday night, and there were probably 60 patrons in the restaurant, and they only had two waitresses, and those poor gal's could not keep up. One of the waitresses was well seasoned, and the other waitress was new and she didn't have a clue what she was doing. The manager was not to be seen, he or she should have been out on the floor assisting.

My buddy at work got a new job and we had his going away party here - around 25 people. Plenty of room, clean. The waitress could not fit us all in the bar area downstairs, so she had to seat us upstairs and that lady ran up and down the stairs to get us our drinks. She got our drink and food orders correct. The only wait time we had was for the food to be prepared. The food was excellent. I had a Farmer's Omelette. It was very good. THANK YOU SILVER LAKE for making our last moments together as a work family an amazing time. ❤
