Best seafood ever! The atmosphere is outstanding! I've been with friends and family on 3 separate occasions, and we had a blast! Were coming back this Saturday with a party of 6! See ya then.
Awesome food. Such a fun atmosphere. Great service. LOVE the choices and the different options/spices/flavors. One minor thing...there should be a caution strip on the riser to the booths. I guess I am just clumsy, but I didn't see the step up and I tripped and took a pretty bad fall...not injured, just hurt. Should look into that.
Everything here always delicious. Huge portions, which they bring in a big plastic sack so that you can really chow down like the animal you are... bowls available upon request. The service and drinks are also phenomenal.
The price is a little bit more expensive than Joe's (which is really the only substitute in the area), but don't let that deter you!
It’s hard to rate seafood restaurants when there are so few from which to choose in the Louisville area. However, if you can dispense with the atmosphere and pageantry of Joe’s Crab Shack and want more food for less coin then the Storming Crab is the place for you. Most big ticket items are sold by the pound and the price fluctuates with the market. My son and I are seafood nuts and we usually spend near $100 each visit but the variety and choices is diverse and it’s well-prepared. I’ve had better seafood but it’s been on the coast. We enjoy it.
This was our first visit, and I must say our service was excellent, even on a very busy Sunday. Our server was very attentive and had a great personality, and the food was good... We tried two different flavors (Cajun and garlic) both good, but so overpowering it took over the flavor of the actual crab. We were also given dirty pans for our food, which once pointing out was fixed immediately. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming which we did enjoy, overall it was a good time for my family.
