MISSION BBQ

Mission BBQ is by far one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is humbling and uplifting. The food is definitely along the lines of soul food, IMO. Go at noon for a restaurant wide national anthem.

Very fast service and friendly staff! The Turkey breast was juicy and tender and the ALABAMA white sauce was not a bad compliment either. Lots of different sauce options and hearty portions for all. Great pit stop for a quick bite or a family gathering.

Great BBQ, excellent service. My only complaint, and reason for 4 stars is the slaw. Slaw game is weak. 5 star BBQ requires 5 star slaw and their slaw is a solid 1. Sorry, but if you want my recipe I'll be happy to share it. Stick with the fries until then (they go great with the mustard and pickles)

Had the brisket sandwich, baked beans and potato salad. Everything was great except the potato salad...it wasn't good at all, potatoes were under cooked. The brisket was amazingly tender and with the right sauce it was perfect.

BBQ is right up there among my favorite food types. There’s just something that feels right about some smoked meat with a nice sauce. Unfortunately, Mission BBQ is distinctly average. There’s really nothing notable about the meats or the sauces on offer here. It comes a bit expensive as well. On the positive side, Mission BBQ feels like a local establishment. You could hangout there and feel like family. This family just isn’t amazing at cooking.
