YUMMY BUFFET

When Yummy Buffet took over Chinatown buffet I was not impressed and we took a long break from going there but have it another chance and it has steadily gotten better. On Friday evenings they now have a small Hitachi grill area where you can choose the items you want in your rice or noodles or just completed on the grill and it is cooked right in front of you..kind of like a tiny Kansai or Kobe. I DO wish they would make their crab Rangoon differently..the shells just have a strange taste and texture.

This place is quite good for the most part. Food is tasty and the selection is good but maybe a little lower than competitors. It doesn't have a Mongolian grill which is a bit disappointing when a lot of other businesses in this category do and it is something I enjoy quite a bit. Their atmosphere is quite nice on the inside even though the all yellow outside of the building is quite odd looking. The staff could stand to be better but aren't bad. If I could rate in half stars I probably would give this place a 3.5 because it really is barely getting to that 4 star spot for me but I am going to round up on this one.

Food delicious and they greet me like I am a long time friend. Newly renovated. Love eating there. Reasonable cost for all you can eat.
