Called in a pizza since they don't deliver to my house anymore. This is the first time that I have done business with them since the last move. They used to be my go to pizza but since I have to go to them if I want their pizza, I don't see much of them anymore. This was my first time in the new location. I didn't venture very far inside the store but the front of the house wasn't very appealing. Farther in I saw multiple large screen t.v.s and a more bar-like atmosphere. About the pizza: I ordered a medium Mama Bearno's. The crust was a bit soggy. I suspect that it's because of all the toppings. It happens fairly often with the medium but usually not with the large. That's my only knock on the pizza. That and I wish they hadn't moved out of my delivery range.
Good food, great atmosphere. They had a live band tonight. Great staff.
1 year later edit:
Staffing has improved dramatically and their carry out service is great.
Old review:
We’ve gone to the new location on 62 a few times during our work lunch hour. Wait staff is horrible and what they call a buffet is really reaching. There's hardly any ever pizza.. and when asked, the wait staff get grouchy like it's terrible they actually have to stock their "buffet." If you're gonna have a pizza buffet, there should probably always be pizza in the oven and on the counter. It's sad that we have to do a mad dash to the counter before it's gone! Absolutely terrible. The pizza tastes great, but even that can't help the fact that everything else is terrible.
Wonderful pizza! Nice place and friendly employees.
I've always loved Bearno's pizza since I was a young girl and the pizza was great, but we ordered the mac and cheese bites for a appetizer ($5.99) and when they came to the table there were 6 small "mac n cheese bites" SIX! FOR $5.99?!?! Needless to say I didn't think that was worth the cost we paid, and our waitress was not very personable, she passed by our table too many times to count while seeing that our cups were empty. My husband and I and one other table were the only customers in the entire place but we were still neglected. I still tipped her well as I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but that was the worst experience I've ever had at a Bearno's pizza.
