Pioneer Cafe

Best, and most consistently great breakfast food I have ever had. I've been to so many restaurants, diners, and hole in the walls for breakfast. A lot of them good and some of them bad but Pioneer Cafe in Bowling Green, IN is the best. Who woulda guessed.

This place!!!! It most definitely surprised me.. There was only 1 waiter on my first visit to this lovely dine in. Our waiter was on top of her game. She should get some award for her work. The kitchen was confused but everything was wonderful. Our appetizers arrived and moments later my plate was ready. Our food came at different times. But I didn't even need the knife that came with my country fried steak meal. My side of green beans tasted amazing. Very cute and clean decor. We all left full. Very satisfied... most definitely a place to try...

The meatloaf was delicious. The sweet tea was great. Unfortunately, we waited 5 or 6 minutes sitting before being acknowledged and it looked like one waitress was running the whole place at 6 pm on a Saturday. She was doing her best and the service wasn't bad, she was just cold, likely from being over the job that day. It just stinks bc an unfriendly waitress can take an experience and drop it down more than a few notches...

Try the possum pie! It's delicious!

Burgers also good. Friendly staff and unique decor to the region. Good all around experience.

Quaint diner on the east side of Bowling Green. Better than a chain restaurant on every level. The ladies who took care of us were wonderful & I highly recommend stopping by if you are hungry & in the area or back road riding motorcycles.
