    I live right next to frosty freeze and STILL drive to Simonton for our ice cream. The root beer is to die for! Our fave summer spot ????

    This place is awesome. The Big Burger with bacon is the way to go. Great onion rings, and a fantastic homemade rootbeer. In town for work and if i ever find myself back in the Elkhart/ Simonton Lake area again i will definitely be back. Put this one on your radar!!

    Nostalgic. Reminds me of long, warm summer days. Walking to the local drive-in to get a 1/2 gallon or gallon jug of rootbeer to take back home. Breaded & fried tenderloin sandwiches. And the year I was finally old enough to get a job as a carhop! Not to mention Simonton Lake Drive-in makes their own rootbeer from a family recipe, no artificial flavors or corn syrup to be found here, making it the BEST around!

    Its fun to go to a drive inn when you're hungry for lunch on a Saturday. Nice weather and the service was friendly and fast. The onion rings were ok but expensive for what you get. The root beer is very good served in the frosty mug. Wife and i had chili dogs. The buns were soft and fresh the chili was thick and tasty but the pale little thin dog got lost in the bun. A bit of a disappointment.

    Finally got in for some food. Inexpensive and really good. Loved everything, and of course got more of their root beer. We'll be back soon.
