Got a very nice welcome from Brittany when I came in as they were opening on a Sunday morning.
She helped with the menu which is filled with intriguing choices..and I settled on the apache pork chop breakfast. Added pancakes to the order.
The pancake was perfect. Light, and large.
Pork chop has a real interesting taste..can't figure out the spice, and try as i did, i could not persuade Connie, who prepared my meal (wow, what flavor), to give up the name of that spice :-)
The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with down home murals and eclectic items hanging on the walls. Also it was very clean.
Connie made the rounds and it was fun getting time with her to hash out politics and the like.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Absolutely would stop again.

(February 19, 2019, 10:08 am)Great Southern Cooking! Haven’t found anything on the menu I don’t like. A recommendation from me would be their smoked salmon patties with sweet potato fries and collard greens!
