First time in Connersville and this restaurant was recommended to us. Judging from the full parking lot and about a twenty-minute wait for a table (at peak Friday evening time), they are doing some things right! Despite being down one employee, service was not significantly delayed, and tables were cleared and set up with hustle. There is a nice variety on the menu and everything was fresh. We had smothered chicken, done in a refreshingly healthier version with fresh mushrooms and onions. Tasty steamed broccoli, really good macaroni and cheese, fresh coleslaw and a fresh blackberry crumble a la mode that just hit the spot. Portions are large, and prices are comparable to, maybe even a little better than, similar restaurants in other locales. In terms of the menu, I would only suggest offering hot tea as well as iced for us affectionados.
We were very impressed with the owner/host, Cary, who seemed to know everyone, made a point of greeting and thanking his customers, helped clean tables and sweep in addition to his hosting duties, and after the rush, actually came and sat with us to answer some questions we had about the town and his restaurant. When he found out we were attending a Birding festival he pulled out a photo of a white robin, offered to show us to its location, and the next morning actually met us in the bird’s neighborhood to help us look for it! That is above and beyond!
We definitely recommend this place for good food, friendly and attentive wait staff, and some of the best hospitality we have ever encountered.

Very pleased with the food prepared for Easter today. Everything tasted excellent and the service was great. We will definitely be back.

Lunch menu sandwiches are HUGE, unique, tasty and--expensive for a lunch. I had aloha sandwich (ham AND ground beef, I didn't realize) and tater tots, hubby had breaded tenderloin (he rated good) and Cole slaw (very good). He likes a thinner cut on tenderloin, though. Decor is very nice, clean, neat, rustic, nicely done. Service excellent. Will go back, but, is pricey.

The food is fantastic! We had the New York Strip steak and it was so tender and juicy. Highly recommend the White Cheddar Mac & Cheese as a side. The service was great and the building is really decorated nice. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table but it is well worth the wait.

Tasteful attention to detail in the decor and design. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was superb. Looking forward to beer and wine coming to the menu. Very good restaurant. We are definitely going back.
