We had a great time celebrating my brother's 60th birthday!! The good was wonderful as was the service. Our waitress did an awesome job serving 19 people!!!

This place is awesome. The fried chicken is fried in lard...so good! Livers, gizzards, and fish fillets are also recommended. ICE COLD beer on tap. A lot of history here, Indiana’s oldest restaurant.

It was neat to eat in a restaurant that President Lincoln ate at in 1844. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes were good. The carrot cake and the coconut cream pie were good.

I am a vender for them i have not eaten there but I can assure you it's well managed by same family for years. They pay close attention to every aspect of business to run like a fine tuned machine. It's clean and pest free throughout. When i am there once a month before they open workers are slaving beside the owners whipping up that nights culinary goodness. It looks and smells amazing. Can't go wrong planning a night out eating here.

Great food, fantastic prices and nice atmosphere at a place with history. They serve anything on the menu but also serve family style. For a flat price you pick out your meat, then the veggies, mashed potatoes, gravies and such are served as you need more. Fantastic flavor, cozy setting. Always a pleasure to visit!
