Nickel Plate Bar & Grill

Nickel plate is amazing. Its to bad they are closing. The people there treated you like family and its so welcoming. We had an awesome waitress and when ever we come back she would remember us. She would talk to us and thats an important thing to have as waiters or waitresses

We went on a Saturday afternoon around 3. It was seat yourself and we took a table near the bar. As soon as we were settled our server was there. She took our drink order and returned with menus. Tara was very professional, attentive but not overbearing. Service was outstanding. The food was very well executed and quality exceeded price point. So why only 4 stars? It comes down to personal taste. I would have preferred a little less breading and a little more spice on the tenderloin prior to breading. The same for the potato salad and slaw well executed but I would tweak both for my personal taste.

My date and I went here after a strange experience at Top Golf. A fun little old stop of a diner! Great ambiance and location, and pretty decent food with a classic diner menu. Had a very generous Screwdriver as well!!

Very good pub food. Great, old time bar atmosphere (which is hard to come by in the burbs). Never go wrong eating or drinking here.

Love Nickel Plate Bar & Grill! Their fare is pure comfort food, served up by a wait staff that believes in customer care. Went there for my birthday with family this week. Had a handmade margarita, nachos with seasoned beef and melted cheese (You have a choice among chicken, pulled pork, and many more options re black olives and queso, for example) and plate overflowed with flavor. And it was no easy choice, either. I'm already a fan of their really meaty breaded tenderloins and super tasty chicken strips. Their wraps and salads are great, too. Atmosphere is family friendly in one of downtown Fishers' most iconic locations. And their take-out menu is tops, too. I'm hooked!
