    People rave about more expensive burger places whose food is of equal or lesser quality to Steak n Shake. I don't understand why. Steak N Shake does it right, and their food is delicious.

    We stopped in for dinner, this place was packed! We were seated within 10 minutes and our server promptly took our order. Our drinks came out and we waited quite a while for the food to arrive. All of our orders were correct but the milkshakes we're not ready. We ate our food and the milkshakes we're still not ready. We requested making the milkshakes to go. When we finally got the shakes, I paid and we were on our way. The staff is very kind and attentive to our needs. The food was good but could have been hotter. I think they must have been understaffed for the the evening shift. I really don't like waiting that long for average food. The value is good, they have many low cost options. I would recommend this place if you are not in a real big hurry.

    Food was good but had to have chili reheated because it was like warm. Service was very good. Paige took care of all our needs.
