Rails is ALWAYS a great place to go while in Seymour. We're from Wisconsin and stay in Seymour for the Derby. One of the things we look forward to after the long drive is stopping in and having some AMAZING food, and an adult beverage or two. The wait staff are so, so, so nice, courteous and have the best manners. One of their other excellent points is their cleanliness. We look forward to next year.
My third time there...I really like this place & so did my 2 friends. We are all repeat customers ! Good food... affordable prices... & good atmosphere for a relaxing meal & brew. They also frequently have live music, there is plenty of parking in the vicinity & Rails has a very large outdoor seating area with retro style silver tables & chairs which are very cool looking !
Rails is worth the drive for me from Columbus to Seymour, Indiana ! I recommend you try either the fried tenderloin sandwich or the grilled salmon.
Absolutely awesome atmosphere! Very cool decor. Food was great. I have zero complaints. Will definitely go there again and again. Highly recommend anyone in the area to check it out.
The French onion soup was amazing and the salad was fresh! Rather obnoxiously loud for my taste - but I think it’s the ambiance they want. Food is pretty pricey - but again I’m guessing you come for the ambiance. We got appetizers and the portions were okay, but our friends got the entrees and they were meh sized for the price. If I was here for the bar I might be more open to the noise, but for lunch with friends it was frustrating to yell over the music and clatter.
The burger is really nice. Onion rings and fries are frozen, but good. The chicken bacon wrap really hit the spot. The boneless wings...well, I wish I could tell you...my son ate them all before anyone else had a chance to try them. Spinach dip is pretty good. The craft beer selection is tiny, but we found one we liked. Cool building, love the vintage architecture.
