Brown Skin Coffee Roaster

I’ve been to this establishment quite a few times and I absolutely love it! The esthetics, the food, the coffee.. All of these are great, but the customer service lacks tremendously. Everytime I go, it is the same young lady who takes my order and it really seems like she hates her job. Her tone is as if customers are a bother to her, she’s always dry and never smiles. She’s not welcoming at all. I’ve visited at all hours of the day, and it’s always the same attitude. A customer service oriented job is just not for her at all. Three times of being there my order was messed up, but because I didn’t feel like dealing with her attitude, I just kept quiet about my order being incorrect. I understand that this is a new establishment and you all are still working things out. Please know, customers would not mind the long wait to be serviced considering, IF the customer service was top tier.
***RESPONSE: Owner says they have made adjustments however, the young lady with the attitude just took my order on Saturday. Maybe adjustments were made that day. She needs to work in the back where she doesn't have to communicate with people. I will give them a few more weeks to smooth things out and update my rating if need be.

Brown Skin Coffee is a beautiful gem that we are lucky to have in the city of Gary. I was lucky to attend the grand opening, and "The Reggie Foster Experience" was the highlight as entertainment. The ambiance is beautiful, complete with outdoor dining. Big shout out to the owner, Ms. Shana Tate for bringing her vision back home❤️

Very nice establishment! Finally a great place in Gary to get coffee and more and have a nice relaxing visit. Conversations, chess, read a book and more.
