Avgo Breakfast and Lunch

Went for lunch here today with 2 adults and two kids under 5. The kids split a kids meal. My bill was $42 which to me was high considering we had one iced tea, no alcoholic drinks and two kids milks a salad and a burger. The place is very nicely decorated. Concrete floors, nice tables and chairs. We were seated right away. Service at table was not so great. Waitress forgot my soup, and two of the three meals had to be sent back. Overall I wasn't impressed food was ok but not spectacular.
It's a new restaurant owned by folks who have other successful places. I'm sure they will iron the kinks out. For my taste they need bigger selection of salads and soups. It wouldn't hurt to add a nice turkey or chicken salad sandwich. Lunch choices were slim.
I would probably go back to check out the breakfasts which looked really good.

Avgo is excellent and deserves all the praise! 7 friends and I ordered something different. Everyone agreed the food was excellent! Oh I didn't mention our waiter Cody! The best! We never wanted for coffee or water, he was very attentive and friendly. Everyone commented they would come back!

Fancy breakfast/lunch place! a bit too fancy for us. The service was good, food served hot, and never had an empty glass. However, the seating is close together, and the friendly atmosphere of a country diner this is not.
The two of us had the two eggs, hash browns, sausage, and toast with a soda and a small orange juice (big portions) that came to $27 and change after tax. Ouch!
If you're entertaining on an expense account and want to impress the clients, Avgo is just right. Looking for a simple breakfast with the family on a budget, keep going down the street.

We just moved here from another state and were so happy to see a new, modern restaurant in St. John! This place was great! Huge portions, great food & coffee for the price! The owner and our waitress were super friendly. We will DEFINITELY be back!
