We decided to try Ricardo's based on wanting to have a pizza and sandwich that wasn't from a chain and something local. The reviews for Ricardo's were pretty good, so we thought we'd start with a sandwich. We both had the Italiano. The sandwich was very good. The smell once you enter the establishment was delightful. We had a nice conversation with the owner while waiting for our order. She was extremely friendly. We can't wait to go back and order a pizza this time.
Excellent pizza. Do not order extra cheese, You will not need it. They are very generous with the toppings.
I live close and gave this place a chance...food actually good...but I can't afford to spend way too much on a medium pizza...I wish the slices were cheaper too...maybe the new train station will help them lower the prices...I enjoy the owners but just can't afford to eat there
The taste is better than many pizza places and I can tell they do put care in the recipes and ingredients as apposed to dominos or little caesars, but it is pricey. $20 for the small pizza but most places you go now you cant get a meal for under $20 so that seems fair considering inflation...if the per topping price wasn't so much it wouldn't be that bad..they should reconsider deals for topping additions because I would just get cheese and add toppings when I get home to save money. The biggest thing is they are never open in the afternoon when I am hungry and when I asked the manager/owner said they don't get enough customers...and well you won't if you are not open. Gordon Ramsey repeats himself when he helps struggling restaurants when they complain that struggling restaurant owners need to be open for lunch hours and if they dont want to pay an employee or two for those few extra hours, they need to be there themselves to do lunch. Especially as a new restaurant you will not have many customers at first because people don't know but so many times I wanted pizza before 4 pm and they missed out on my money...the taco truck down the street sometimes has a line at 2 pm.. just some examples.
I must start off by saying the pizza is outstanding. We ordered a 14" thin crust..
Cheese, sausage and mushroom...our "Albano's" special. This tops the "A." Only problem was...they "never got"
my CALLED IN order. Verified the phone number immediately and I for sure called the correct number. I spoke with a male...and was told NO MALE ever answers the phone. I felt like I was on Candid Camera. But...they rushed to make our pizza as I waited patiently in my car. Sort of felt like they should have offered me a fountain drink while I waited (or a discount for the mix up). But, as I said, the pizza is outstanding. Support Ricardo's. I'm sure it will become an MC great!
