Took my family there for a ski trip. Great atmosphere, nice rooms. Lots of places to go hiking and will be back in the summer to explore the area around the inn. Lots to do. Not a lot around the inn for food, so be prepared to drive a bit to get food. The inn does have food available if you choose to stay in.
Plenty to do here above and beyond camping, hiking and enjoying the great outdoors. The Grissom Memorial, Twin Caves boat ride, and the Pioneer Village are all great additions to the park. The inn is also very nice and definitely worth checking out if you like the park vibe but camping is not your thing.
Great hiking trails, lots of history throughout park especially in the pioneer village and Gus Grissom museum. The Inn is really cozy and clean. Good food in the Millstone dining room. There are two rooms available for dog owners staying overnight at a reasonable fee. My husband and I stayed with our Golden Retrievers two nights and hiked with them and had a great time. Beautiful Park!
My wife and I recently stayed here and we love the Inn and the park. When I reserved the day of our stay, the very nice lady at the state park registration line found out that it was my wife's birthday and when we got to the Inn they had upgraded our room. The room was very spacious with a wonderful view. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. We can't wait to get back.
The Spring Mill Inn is a delight to stay at. It is well maintained clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is also a restaurant which serves Buffet meals in the morning and dinner. The food is excellent. I would highly recommend this as a vacation spot. When we return to Central Indiana this will be our go-to spot. Not to mention the park is amazing.
