Chilly Water Brewing Company

Cool little place with great beer, unpretentious but tasty bar food, and BIG appetizers. The ambiance is relaxed and low key. I liked the beer cheese and pretzels, but the blood orange IPA I ordered was especially memorable. We also loved the fact that dogs are allowed!

Great ambiance and drinks! I went when there was happy hour. Everything was great and tasty. The bartender was super friendly and attentive. The environment has a speak easy type of feel to it, which I always think is pretty cool. Definitely would recommend.

We came in for Gencon. The food and beer were spectacular. The Blood on the Tracks is delicious. I had a great burger and my y wife said the pesto was incredible. Great atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff

I was in Indianapolis to facilitate a couple of training programs and I visited a few breweries at the end of the day to wind down. Chilly River Brewing was a textbook local small brewery that was doing a lot of the little things right. It was a great place to sit and have a few tasters. If I had known about their menu, I would have eaten dinner here instead of at the place next to my hotel. Beers were good across the board and the food looked great. The service was all you could ask for with quick attention after I sat down to patiently answering my beer nerd questions about which tasters to get.
The place was packed with regulars on a Wednesday night, which is about as good a sign as you could ask for. Service was quick in spite of the crowd, which was great. The regulars were friendly and I had a pleasant conversation both about the Indy brewing scene and the fact that I was going to miss most of the best places since they close early mid-week.
All the beers I tasted were good. They have a good range that would allow any group of beer drinkers at least one option off the list. They had two very nice malt-forward beers, the best of which was the Scottish Ale. It was warm with the right kind of complexity for a normal weight, after-work beer. As a West Coaster the IPAs were not as strong on hop flavor and aroma, but they were all good and they fit the regional style better than a San Diego hop-bomb would. The Blood Orange IPA was stronger on the orange flavor than usual, but it worked and would be an interesting beer to use in food pairing.

Traveling through town we were relieved to find a great craft brewery where our dog could come too. The beer was fantastic ???? the food was also good. The servers were very patient and nice when our burger order had to be redone. The outdoor seating had the industrial feel of the brewery. Dog water bowls were available, big plus. We were surprised to see 6 other dogs throughout our meal, obviously this is a popular pooch place. The seats are close together so it's important your dog is well socialized. Would come again!
