I really enjoyed the tenderloin. The breading is tasty and meat was juicy. This was a nice find at city market.

The BEST Po' Boy Sandwich!!! When I tell you that I had THE BEST first time experience at The Pantry, it is no exaggeration! The staff was warm and attentive and the food was AMAZING! When deciding between the Fish Cake or the Po' Boy special, all three staff members nudged me to go for the larger-portioned special and I'm SOOO glad I did! The fish was *perfectly* seasoned with a little "kick", it was fried to deep golden brown perfection - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside; the bun was fluffy & toasted and my side of homemade Mac & Cheese was divine. I will definitely be back!

Most of their food is pretty good. Everyone seems to rave about the fried chicken and mac & cheese. I found the fried chicken to be soft (not crunchy), bland, and the breading was greasy and over all it was completely unseasoned. It really kind of ruined my apatite. The mac & cheese was another bland item. There is no seasoning at all and the cheese sauce is pasty and bland. I really hate those two items. The meatballs are pretty good, even though frequently I get some that are too pink in the middle (it contains pork so pink is a no no). They are seasoned nicely though. Their salads are pretty good and big too. I hit this place from time to time but overall they are not that spectacular. There are better and cheaper places within several feet of The Pantry.
