Customer service: Excellent/Hip Hop Music environment with banging music.
Food: Hot and Fresh
Coleslaw: has a Fresh onion base flavor, so if you don't like onion you will not like it. Slaw offers a very balanced flavor to go hand in hand with the hot chicken.
Wings: super Red and crispy with some sort of special dipping sauce.
Fries: hot and fresh with red seasoning
Slush daiquiris: Watermelon, And Mango mixed with alcohol.

Best hot chicken in Indy.

There are plenty of hot chicken places (chains) around but only one is uniquely world famous. And HotBoys is world famous for a reason.

Beware the 'Hot' and 'Hot Hot' styles... I'm not sure what evil genius made these, but I promise they are more hot than you are expecting. With that being said, I lived to tell the tale, and can confirm 'Hot' is as delicious as it is mouth burning. I highly recommend the loaded fries or the sando-- both give you the combo of hot chicken, slaw, money sauce, and fries that you don't want to miss. Don't sleep on the secret ranch if you're feeling up for it.

Great atmosphere for casual dining. Vibe of the whole place is really fun, and is a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Location has an excellent atmosphere that is vibrant, staff were on point, food was delicious, and the music was great.

Great things takes time. The food takes a little time but who cares when you’re having fun.

Things to note, staff was great and really worked to inform me about the bar drinks and shots. There is soda and water, no other NA options but would be nice. Seating can be limited though I could see them working fast to clean turned tables on the fly.

I like a little spicy, cashiers suggested one step lower than hot, it was perfect heat. We each got a different Sammy. They were both great and I hate crinkle fries but their fries dusted with seasoning, dipped in the sauce were, in my opinion, totally wizard!

Oh hell yeah. That was tasty.
Hot-hot is a little hotter than Joella's fire in the hole but it doesn't completely coat your mouth in hot oil like Joella's does. If you're choosing between HotBoys and Dave's, HotBoys wins all around for me.

Choosing between HotBoys and Joella's, HotBoys has better chicken and Joella's has better sides.

Choosing completely based on heat experience: HotBoys > Joella's > Daves.

They're all great though. I'm so glad Indy is getting more hot food options.

After trying the various chicken places around town this is by far the best chicken sandwich I’ve had. I tried the medium heat and it was a perfect level of spice. Great crispy crunch. Juicy chicken. Excellent sauce and coleslaw.

The inside is small with funky decor. They have seating outside which was amazing as we were able to watch the sunset and see the city skyline lights coming on.

No parking except for street parking.

Would recommend over any chicken franchise.
