Pure Eatery

Address: 1043 Virginia Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203, USA

Restaurant

“Went for dinner, around 6:45. Didn't have to wait to be seated, which was nice, but did have to sit in the bar area. There are booth tables in the regular seating area with little lamps on them that give the tables a nice, cozy light level. The rest of the restaurant, though, is unpleasantly dim, and the music was just a little loud. The wait on the food was short, which was good given that the restaurant was pretty busy at the time, but the food wasn't very satisfying. Before I go further, though, the cocktail I ordered was fantastic--the bloom baby--very aromatic, floral, and pleasant. But the portions on the food were small for the price, and the southwest dressing that comes with the side salad I got is surprisingly spicy--enough so that it washed out everything in the salad but the pulled chicken. The sandwich was somewhat sloppily made--there was pulled pork that was sticking out of the sandwich and very dry, as well as pork that looked like it was folded under the bun when the bread was toasted. The bread was really disappointing, too. Little substance to it. My fiancée had a worse meal but she'll be writing her own review. All in all, not a bad meal, but I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone for anything other than drinks.”

Red Lion Grog House

Address: 1043 Virginia Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203, USA

Restaurant

“This is probably my favorite pub in the city. If I am ever in Fountain Square, I try and make a point to stop by Red Lion. The staff is always friendly, the drinks are always on point, and the food is killer. Laid back, quirky, English pub feel with a menu to match it. If you want to try something crazy, get their deep-fried buffalo burger. Of course, you can't go wrong with bangers and mash. They also have the best bread pudding in the city, hands down.”

El Arado Mexican Grill

Address: 1063 Virginia Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203, USA

Restaurant

“Service was great. Timely and not overbearing. When you go get the Fajita Taco Salad. I know. Why would you go to a Mexican Restaurant and get a salad?!? This thing is more steak than salad, cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and more than worth your time and tastebuds.”

Kuma's Corner Indianapolis

Address: 1127 Prospect St, Indianapolis, IN 46203, USA

Restaurant

“Yesterday was my first experience at Kuma’s and it was delicious! The hamburger options are unique and lots of variety. Any hamburger can be swapped out for chicken, which is great for non beef eaters. My burger was massive and they gave me a truck load of fries too! Some of the very best fries I’ve had in Indy. Perfectly seasons and have a bit of crunch too them. Sad to say, that heavy metal genre isn’t my thing, but that doesn’t keep one from enjoying this location. It’s playing, but not too loud, so I was easily able to hear and converse at my table. Bathrooms have writing all over wall, which was fun to read, but more importantly, the bathrooms, like the restaurant, are clean. Sadly, I completely forgot to take any pictures, but I’ll be back!”
