My son and I enjoyed our 1st visit to Porter Books and Bread. Our coffee was absolutely delicious and served in metal mugs. The ambiance and surroundings were cozy and inviting in the historic former barracks of Ft Ben. The staff were friendly, upbeat, welcoming, & knowlegeable. We liked our delicious fruit scone and coffee cake muffin, too! We will definitely become regulars!
    Open Sundays until 6 PM!!

Quaint little sandwich/cafe/bistro. I had the "dante", very good. Hint: half is probably enough. The coffee is fabulous. Who ever is behind the buying and roasting knows what they're doing. I give this little shop with an old look and feel my highest rating: IMPRESSIVE!

Absolutely fantastic coffees in a great atmosphere. Don't let the location fool you: Google maps will correctly show you the way. We got to have the ends of their fresh biscotti while still warm, and I have to say it may be the best I've ever had. The breads are made in house and the coffee is roasted in 5lb batches so everything is fresh. Also, as a result, the whole place smells like coffee and baking bread-- how can you go wrong? I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

This place is so cute! As someone who is particular about the quality of my coffee, I highly recommend stopping by. Retro decor, cozy, corner bookstore feel, with amazing bread baked on site every day and the owner roasts the coffee. As a mom of small kids, the spiral staircase kinda freaks me out a little, but the kids found some games upstairs that they were more interested in than the stairs. (Phew!) The food is delicious and the staff are lovely people!!
