Every time I am here, I find a new something to be amazed by. This time it was the red lentils, cabbage and onion gomen. My favorite is the various Gomen dishes. Usually collard greens with additional ingredients. The Injera is the best I have had and we have noticed many people come in just to take home packs of the injera.

This is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant and I make a point of searching them out all around the world. my husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here and they were so wonderful and accommodating. It has been five years ago now and they still remember me every time I come in. I have been eating here since I was in high school and will always consider Indianapolis home as long as Abyssinia is open. Hands down, the best Yebeg Alecha EVER.

The dishes we got came with no plates, just a large sheet of flat bread with scoops of various curries on it, and smaller pieces of flat bread that we used to pick up and eat the curries. Everything I had was delicious and flavorful, and when they say "spicy" I am happy to report they really mean it, some dishes had some serious burn, especially given that it's in the midwest where spicy food is relatively uncommon.

Amazing food. First experience with Ethiopian food and I'm glad I went. I'll definitely go back next time I'm on that side of town.

The food was very good. The portions were enough for one person. The service was late. The coffee ceremony was very unique. The coffee pot was $25 shared by 5 people but was worth it. I would suggest getting individual dishes instead of the sampler. The baklava was very dry don't recommend it.
