Food is Very delicious! Thought I knew my favorite chicken sandwich place until I visited here! Now I have a new favorite! I got fries my first visit then on the second visit I tried their fried mushrooms. The mushrooms tasted good, but I only got about 7 tiny ones. I thought I’d get more for having to pay so much more for them.
I’ve wanted to try Slim Chickens for a super long time but due to how far away this location is from my usual activities, I haven’t been able to. I finally got to do so today.
We came in at lunchtime on a Saturday and they were a little busy. The cashier was friendly and their menu is pretty big!
I settled for the Chicks Meal (3 tenders) with fries, toast, and Slim Sauce. I was overall impressed! The tenders had great seasoning, the fries were good, the toast was okay. Their sauce was kinda bland.
Overall, I’m still impressed! Definitely comparable to Zaxby’s and Raising Canes. I’ll definitely be back soon to try the Chicken & Waffles!
Tried this place for the first time and definitely will go back! The building and inside has a cool decor and look to it. Everything was clean inside. The employees were really friendly. We ordered the 4 piece chicken tenders meal and chicken and waffles. The food was hot and tasted good. Favorite unique thing was the cranberry lemonade!!! 😍😍😍 It was the perfect combo of sweet and tangy. The price point is similar to everyone else and our food and drinks came to about $22.
Only negatives were getting inside and the layout. If you park on the east side, which has more parking, you have to walk around the building to enter. The exterior door to the porch only lets you out and not in. Also, where you order is kind of cramped and people in line block the entrance/exit and bathrooms.
The person in front of me in line got her food, ate it, and left before I received my food (20-25 minutes). Very confused by the way their food comes out given they have a drive-thru and appear to be a quick-serve chicken place.
The chicken wasn't well trimmed (gristle), but it was well fried. The fries were adequate but unremarkable.
The sauce selection is probably the best aspect of this restaurant. The cayenne ranch was very tasty.
Their chicken strips are some of the best fast food strips I’ve had. Tender, lighter batter not a heavy fried taste; very good. Also liked the wings in the honey barbeque and the gravy dip had good flavor with the fries! It was busy and took awhile for our order but worth the wait, staff was super friendly also. First time, this opened beginning of Oct. I’d definitely eat at this chain again, wish they had chicken breasts:)
