His Place Eatery - Chicken & Waffles, Ribs and Soul Food

Delicious southern cooking. Best greens I've had in a while. There is nothing I wouldn't recommend here. Definitely get a few side dishes, they are all tasty. Great service and the chef was there running his business. I couldn't be more pleased.

This place is doing it right!! From the warm greeting we received when we walked in to the red velvet brownie we had for dessert, everything was wonderful. I couldn't decide, so I got two smoked meats (pulled pork and spare time). The pork was really good but the ribs were the best I've ever had. The mac and cheese was excellent. My hubby has the meatloaf and looke it a lot. He enjoyed the potato salad and creamed corn, too. Our service was great and the owner himself came out to welcome us, then to see how we enjoyed our meal. We'll definitely go back!! (If you care more about a fancy place with a showy decor, this isn't your place. If you just love great food, check it out.)

Greens and cabbage were delicious. They were out of brisket though. Someone there shared you have to call in advance to check on brisket because they run out often. I had fish instead; i was good but not something I'd order routinely as it wasn't amazing. My sister loved it though and ordered 5 servings to go for dinner for her family. My sister raved about her burger and said it was seasoned very well. My friend loved her mac and cheese, creamed corn, and banana pudding.

The staff were really great too! Super friendly.

I called my husband at work and told him I'd found a place on our side of town to try out their ribs. Will report back more later!

Very friendly staff. Great music playing. And the food was delicious. I had a to go within the last 30 minutes and they were still just as helpful. They did forget my dessert but I plan to call tomorrow. No big deal.
