1. The place is clean and kitchen is cleaned frequently after meals are prepared to prevent cross contamination.
2. The food was freshly prepared, the wait time wasn’t too long, I had the peach cobbler for dessert (while waiting for my meal) it’ll definitely give your granny a run for her money. I had a basa dinner, the portion was great, so much that my sides were placed in small cups but equaled the amount that would be placed/fit in the tray. My mother had the perch she’s still eating lol and considering order seconds to go.
3. These WINGS 🤤😋 baby are so 🔥🔥🔥I’m waiting on an order to take to my sister to prove it lol. And I didn’t wanna share with the kids so I ate in.
4. I’m looking forward to returning this weekend to try something new on the menu, also I had a sample of cake and it was so soft and moist. I had lemon cake, strawberry was all sold out.
Parking is plentiful, the common area (seating area) is very clean and well kept. The staff was welcoming and attentive. They offered add-ons and let you know there would be a small up charge so no hidden fees for portions. This is a relevantly new restaurant but they’re very up to par on service.
This IS a black owned family business and a safe place that supports stopping violence in our streets, I especially loved that. You can walk in and feel safe and comfortable.
The catfish and chicken was on point. The problem was the sides. There wasn't enough to give a rating. See photos. I always try to support black businesses, but they've got to do better on the portions for the money spent.
Good food and good customer service. I will go again...
