Napolese

The pizza is really good and fresh. The outdoor patio is great on a nice day. Good wine selection, and the atmosphere is cute and cozy!

I sometimes rag on Patachou on social media because sometimes the restaurants don't quite hit the mark. But this Napolese location has just knocked it out of the park each time.

You can read the other reviews that rave about the pizza. This is top 3 of pizza places in the metro Indy area. But I want to share my experience that I had last weekend.

My girlfriend and I stopped in around 6:30 before a 7:30 movie. We knew we wouldn't have time for dinner but we were hoping to sit at the bar and order some appetizers. Even though there was a wait for regular seating (and the place was packed!), we were immediately seated at the bar.

As our appetizer-only meal went on, I asked for a double espresso. Unfortunately their espresso machine was down. But our bar tender was able to get one of his co-workers to get a double espresso from Public Greens. This was a level of service that was going above and beyond.

So kudos to Patachou and the management and rank-and-file at Napolese in the Fashion Mall. They've created a gem where you get great food and great service with a lively atmosphere. Not very easy to pull off in a mall setting, but they've done it.

Great pizza selection. The service is a little slow. But it's worth it. The pizza's are amazing. Kim's pie is a great choice. The place is quiet and wine selection was decent as well. Usually the wait is not bad , wish they took reservations though. If you are ever in this neck of the woods definitely give it a try.

They were great here: Food, service and atmosphere. I especially love the different salts and olives they bring to your table.

Service was excellent. If you like olives, they give you some free at the start to try as an appetizer. The pizza is delicious and came out quickly. I believe most of the ingredients are sourced locally. The location is pretty small, so either get there early or make a reservation or you will probably be waiting 15 minutes or so. The only thing I would change is making the water cold or providing ice.
