Very friendly service. Good chicken recipe. Clean. Mid-priced. One of the few fried food joints that serves veggies.
My wife and I had dinner here. We had water to drink and it was less than $20. I had the white quarter with hot sauce. She had the "jumbo" (average sized) tenders with "tweener" sauce. The chicken was served within just a couple of minutes of ordering and this made me a little worried. While the chicken was cooked and juicy, it wasn't warm; only room temperature. The sauces were good but if you've never had Nashville-style chicken be warned that they are oily by design. The vinegar slaw was great, the mac and cheese was good, the green beans were just mush; don't order them. The temperature of the sides were fine. All in all, just above average. I will give this place another try.
The food here was so good. My only issues were the green beans could have had just a little more flavor. Also, there wasn't as near as much sauce on the chicken as the pictures show. The fries were hot, salty, and delicious. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Really really really good food.
THIS is the best chicken in Indianapolis. And this location is so clean. Jasmine is one of the funniest, wittiest, genuine people I have encountered at an eating establishment. The rest of the staff is cool, too. Broad Ripple is a bit of a distance from my place in Fishers so when I suggest you try this place, please do. I bet you’ll have -0 regrets ????
I had heard rave reviews about Joella's chicken, so when a friend and I decided to get together after work, I suggested Joella's. The atmosphere is laid back and minimal. The staff is very friendly and personable. The service, freaky fast. The chicken was quite flavorful and moist. A bit pricey for a quarter piece though. The two sides I ordered, under performed. The green beans, not flavorful at all and the "creamy mac and cheese", was lacking the "cream" and cheese. I have never acquired a taste for beer, but I actually did enjoy the Angry Orchard. I will definitely return and try different sides though.
