Taste Cafe & Marketplace

Was pretty disappointed in my most recent visit. Front of house staff was not as friendly as I remembered, the food took nearly 90 minutes to make its way to our table (3 relatively simple entrees) and the dining area generally felt a little neglected. The food was pretty good, however. The deep dish strata was great. I hope our trip was an aberration as this used to be a go-to weekend spot.

The food was delicious! You could taste the fresh ingredients in every bite. The woman working the register was very welcoming and sweet. The veggie sandwich (pictured) was awesome. We will definitely be going back.

This place is very fancy indeed. It has gourmet dishes that are very good. The service there is not so bad. Sometimes it will get to full though. The employees there are very nice and caring. It can sometimes get loud in the kitchen and that bothered me. They argue a bit too much as well. But besides all that its all right!

Food is amazing. One of the best in this area. However, the service isn’t great and occasionally the servers are downright rude. Showed up to eat once at 6:20 and they weren’t open yet (supposed to open at 6 that particular day).

I thought about giving 3 stars but the food is too good for that.

Edit: they seem to have a problem keeping the silverware clean, also. Food is still good!

Edit 2: food is going downhill. Egg sandwich comes on a hamburger bun. Lox bagel came on the least everything-bagel we’ve ever seen. Potatoes are very greasy with little seasoning. Downgraded to 3 stars and we probably won’t come back. The price is too high for the food, service and cleanliness of this place.
